At Venture Together, our staff are the foundation of everything we do. Their commitment, compassion, and creativity ensure that our programs succeed and that the people we support live meaningful, fulfilling lives. This summer, the Acceptance & Belonging Committee (ABC) launched a special initiative to show gratitude and foster stronger connections across our programs.
The committee created care baskets filled with delicious snacks, treats, and valuable resources, highlighting staff benefits and wellness information. These baskets were delivered to programs across the agency as a small but heartfelt thank-you to our staff. Each basket included “Snack & Share” cards with fun prompts and questions, encouraging staff to take a break, share a laugh, and get to know one another better.
Dr.Dana Stilley, Chair of the ABC, explained the inspiration behind the initiative:
“We wanted to do something that not only showed our staff how much they are appreciated, but also give them ways to connect with each other. These baskets are about more than treats, but creating moments of belonging."

Another important feature of the project was the introduction of a digital Suggestion Box, a new channel for staff to share feedback, ideas, and concerns directly with the ABC. This ensures every voice has a place in shaping the culture of acceptance and belonging at Venture Together.
This initiative was just one of the many ways the ABC is working to strengthen community and ensure staff feel valued, recognized, and included. It’s a reminder that at Venture Together, appreciation isn’t reserved for milestones—it’s woven into our everyday culture.
