Chief Human Resources Officer
Lisa began her career with Venture Together as a seasonal employee while completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology at SUNY Oswego. From the start, she was drawn to Venture Together’s mission and the people it serves, gaining early insight into the organization’s values and day-to-day work through close collaboration with the Executive Secretary to founder Kathleen Lukens. She later earned a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling and stepped into a leadership role as Director of Personnel, helping to build a supportive workplace where staff can do their best work on behalf of the mission.
As Venture Together grew, Lisa’s role evolved into Director of Human Resources, where she focused on strengthening practices that help people feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to serve. In January 2017, she earned the SHRM-CP credential from the Society for Human Resource Management, reflecting her commitment to HR excellence and ongoing professional development. In June 2020, Lisa was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she partners with leaders across the organization to invest in staff development, foster a healthy and inclusive culture, and align HR strategy with Venture Together’s mission and long-term goals.
