The Bookkeeper is responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping and maintenance of Client Funds.

Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp. EOE

Successfully participate in Orientation and pass all required testing. All staff must embrace the philosophies Venture Together adheres to including Person Centered Planning and the DSP Core Competencies. 



The Bookkeeper is responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping and maintenance of Client Funds.  Must be able to analyze and resolve Medicaid and Social Security issues, as they arise, in conjunction with residences and other responsible parties to facilitate accurate reporting and continued revenue flow.

The Bookkeeper reports to the Assistant Director of Finance.


  • Associate’s degree and three to five years related experience
  • Position requires confidentiality, ability to understand complex legislation, professionalism and the ability to work independently
  • Must possess strong accounting skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Communication is essential for the successful candidate
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, team oriented atmosphere
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills necessary

Location: Nanuet, NY

Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Full-Time / 40 hours per week

Salary Range: $23.20 – $28.89 per hour
