The Residential Director is responsible for the overall management of a residential program or programs. The primary responsibility of the Residential Director is to ensure the health and safety of the individuals residing in these homes.

Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp. EOE

RESIDENTIAL DIRECTOR

JOB SUMMARY

The Residential Director is responsible for the overall management of a residential program or programs. The primary responsibility of the Residential Director is to ensure the health and safety of the individuals residing in these homes. The Residential Director will need to ensure OPWDD regulatory compliance, participate in planning meetings for the individuals residing in the homes and to develop appropriate person specific habilitative plans for them. In addition to various administrative tasks, the Residential Director is also responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Assistant Residential Director and the Direct Support staff working in the home. The Residential Director ensures that program staff are delivering identified services as documented in the person-centered plans developed for the individuals. The Residential Director shares in on-call responsibilities for the program.

The Residential Director reports to the Residential Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in related field with eligibility for QIDP OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of two years of experience working in a residential facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience and a driving record that meets agency insurance company driving requirement. Must be certified to administer medication. Must demonstrate good leadership, organizational and supervisory skills, and a professional work ethic.
